A folk festival ‘St Patrick’s Day and Night’ will be held on 20th March in the Moscow club Izvestiya Hall as part of the Irish week.
Every year in the middle of March the whole world turns green in honour of the main Irish holiday – St Patrick’s Day. This event went beyond Irish national culture long ago having become the worldwide celebration of joy and spring.

At the festival, you will listen to songs full of Irish freedom by Tintal, dashing marches by City Pipe, Breton traditional airs by Mervent, medieval ballades by Shedda, folk by Lost Temple Brothers and Scottish rock by Green Guard. A special guest of the festival is the true Irishman Conor Murray, ‘The Psycho Paddy’ and his band ‘The Clover Rovers’.

During the event you will see the performance of Irish dancing shows by Iridan, Ars Longa, Celteria, Celtic Wind and Festival Irish Dance.

For the first time the festival will feature an immersive exposition ‘The window to Ireland’ which will bring our guests to the Emerald island – to see the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher, mysterious beech trees avenue the Dark hedges, wide green fields and the legendary library at Trinity College Dublin.

Celebration will include Celtic fair and Irish video art on the big screen where guests will get a lucky shamrock as a present.

The show’s host will be a flagman of folk movement in Russia – Fiodor Voskresenskiy.
Celebration of St Patrick’s day in Moscow has attracted the local population for more than 20 years because it is impossible for your heart not to beat faster when listening to the amazing sound of bagpipes and witnessing the inspiring Irish step. In this exciting 9-hour folk adventure we will call for spring together – by joy and dancing!
