Exhibition “Re-entry” at the Museum of Cosmonautics

The Museum of Cosmonautics presents an exhibition of an Irish photographer Andrew McConnell, a two-time winner of the World Press Photo Award.

This is the first ehibition of  Andrew McConell’s work in Russia

From February 28 to March 31, the exhibition of the famous Irish photographer Andrew McConnell will be held at the Moscow Museum of Cosmonautics. The “Re-entry” project is based on the photos taken by Andrew in Kazakhstan during the landing and meeting of the crew of the International Space Station.

In these photos, Andrew tells the story of the life of the descendants of nomadic peoples living on Kazakh soil for centuries and the daily rocket launches coming together in the highly unlikely match. The Kazakhs, who do not leave their lands, get “fragments” of space activity, which are included in their usual everyday life.
